The Orthopaedic Center of Central Virginia is seeking an individual who is licensed in the state of Virginia as a Physical Therapy Assistant / PTA. The PTA works under the general supervision of the Licensed Physical Therapist (PT). He/she is assigned duties, which assist in the patient's care and treatment for physical therapy needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides skilled physical therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist.
- Implements and modifies the patient's physical therapy plan of treatment with PT supervision.
- Monitors patient responses to treatments and modifies it during treatment sessions as necessary.
- Communicates with other health care providers to assist with meeting the needs of the patientCandidates must have graduated from an approved PTA school and hold a current Physical Therapy Assistant License in the state of Virginia. Candidates must hold a current CPR certification.
Candidates should also have proficient computer skills, a cheerful disposition and the ability to work well in a high volume, fast paced environment.

Candidate will join Multi-Disciplinary Spine Team of physicians, PA’s, and therapists. Caring for immediate area of 250,000 lives. EMR and PAC systems assist in providing the best in patient care. New facility houses MRI and comprehensive therapy services. Beautiful area with limitless recreational opportunities.
Candidate would have general orthopaedic call responsibilities in a level two trauma center (1 in 12).
