Our Community
Sideline Coverage for Local Sports Teams
Our commitment to community can be found on the sidelines of several local high schools including: Amherst High School, Appomattox High School, Brookville High School, EC Glass High School, Heritage High School, and Jefferson Forest High School. Additionally, we provide orthopaedic medical care for the Lynchburg Hillcats, a local minor league baseball team, as well as the athletes at Lynchburg College, Liberty University, Randolph College, and Sweetbriar College.
Supporting Education
The OCCV is in involved with numerous educational programs including externships with Lynchburg College, Jefferson College of Health Sciences, and the Medical Assistant Program for Lynchburg City Schools.
The OCCV also participates with CHOICES, which is an interactive decision-making workshop that empowers teens to achieve academic success in pursuit of their career and life aspirations.
“The Choices program is one great way to pull our community together. It invites communication across different groups of people all fed by a common purpose; making Region 2000 a vibrant place to live, work and play." - Karen Simonton, OCCV Chief Administrative Officer
