The Games are open to all ages and skill levels for any resident in Virginia.
The Blue Ridge Elite 18u Softball team won Gold at The Virginia Coventry Commonwealth Games by beating the Dixie Dynamite 6 -5 on Sunday. The Blue Ridge Elite organization was founded with the support of “The Peak” at The Orthopaedic Center of Central Virginia. The PEAK at OCCV has provided Sports Performance Training and Softball Instruction for the athletes involved with Blue Ridge Elite as well as training for other local standout softball programs such as 3D Fastpitch and The Va. Seminoles, along with athletes playing for The Titans, High Voltage and every local High School Softball Team!
Blue Ridge Elite was established at the 18u level with the help of Keith Johnson, Tommy Thacker of 3D Fastpitch Softball, Steve Clark, and Mark & Shawna Powell of The Va. Seminoles with the hopes of combining area 16u organizations together to promote an Ultra-Competitive, All Area 18u program. Our mission: “To prepare and develop the skills necessary to compete at the High School and Collegiate Levels, to instill high moral values & character in each individual athlete in order to become better leaders in our community.”
