Workers’ Compensation

The Orthopaedic Center of Central Virginia offers a designated department to handle Workers’ Compensation cases. Our mission is to provide excellent care and service to workers’ compensation patients and coordinate communication between Nurse Case Managers, Insurance Adjustors, patients, employers, and OCCVA staff.

Our department’s goal is to help everyone involved manage the workers’ compensation claim successfully. We do that by staying focused on the injured employee’s care with the ultimate goal to return the injured worker to work. Keeping the injured worker involved in the process will yield positive results in managing the workers’ compensation claim.

Our physiatrists and orthopedic surgeons may use the following tools to treat to achieve desired results: MRI services, EMG, Bone Density, Bone Scans, Injections, Physical Therapy, Work Conditioning, Functional Capacity Evaluations, and Pain Management.

Our Workers’ Comp Specialists will make authorized appointments, work to obtain timely authorization for tests and surgeries and take your calls to help make this process go as smoothly as possible.
